Iliada early harvest unfiltered extra virgin olive oil is a limited production, extracted exclusively from the greenest and finest unripe Koroneiki variety olives. Hand-picked from selected groves in the beginning of each year's crop, olives are cold-pressed within a few hours to produce a full-bodied olive oil with intense green fruit aroma and mildly bitter taste. It is robust and pungent, causing a "burning sensation" and pleasant aftertaste to the palate due to its high level of antioxidants. Its unique bright green colour and cloudy appearance are cause by the tiny olive fruit particles it contains, since it is immediately bottled, unfiltered after press.
